-- Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are the marquee names for this year's Super Bowl halftime entertainment, but the days Springsteenleading up to the big game Feb. 1 will see some musical action, too. On Jan. 29, Rihanna, Fall Out Boy and Lifehouse will perform for the Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash that will be broadcast live on VH1. Then, on Jan. 31, another Pepsi Smash event will feature Enrique Iglesias and Belanova, with highlights to be shown on Telemundo. . . . In other Springsteen news, the Boss is offering a free download of "Life Itself," the third single he's made available from his Jan. 27 "Working on a Dream" album. The track is available on amazon.com. . . . This year, wannabe music stars will have the opportunity to share "My Grammy Moment" with Katy Perry. Contestants can upload clips of themselves singing her "I Kissed a Girl" at www.cbs.com. The winner, decided by online voters, will perform with Perry on the Feb. 8 Grammys and receive $5,000. . . . Leona Lewis is working on an autobiography that chronicles her rise from a waitress at Pizza Hut to winner of England's "The X Factor" to international star. Look for it by October. . . . Wilco will release its first concert DVD, "Ashes of American Flags," in February or March. The material comes from 2008 shows in Tennessee and Oklahoma. . . . Kelly Clarkson's new single, "My Life Would Suck Without You," is scheduled to hit radio Jan. 19. It's the first release from her March 17 album, reportedly titled "Masquerade"

Tomorrow: At 9 p.m. on VH1 Classic is AC/DC's "No Bull" concert; the Zac Brown Band plays for Jimmy Kimmel.

Saturday: Taylor Swift performs on "Saturday Night Live."

The Beastie Boys' "Paul's Boutique" album gets a 20th-anniversary remaster Jan. 27. The package will include the original vinyl artwork, a poster and access to a digital download commentary by the three Beasties. . . . Coheed & Cambria fans have a nine-disc box set to look forward to March 17. "Neverender: The Children of the Fence" includes four live DVDs, four live CDs, a documentary DVD and a photo book. . . . Not even a nod to Scott Asheton????  Sure it’s been covered but so has everything else in this printed submission from you.  Melissa, maybe you could educate some people. One question… do you even know who he is and what has happened?
