Gallery 5800 Showing “Summer Magic”

Gallery 5800 is celebrating the summer season with "Summer Magic," a one-woman show by Chesapeake-area artist Suzanne Morris.

The show consists of 40 framed original oil paintings that depict the sights of summer, including sailboats, beaches and small harbors.

"It's a fun collection of her art. She captures the summer mood really well," said gallery owner Tilman Nadolski. "It's nice decorative art." Prices range from $175 to $1,400.

Gallery 5800, which exhibits an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary art, features a framing gallery on the first floor and art gallery space on the second.

The exhibition runs through July 9 at 5800 Grove Ave. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment.
