Gallery5 presents ‘Due Process’ printmaking exhibit
Gallery5 in Jackson Ward explores the world of printmaking in "Due Process," a Kevin Orlosky-curated show featuring the work of artists from across the country.
With "Due Process," the gallery hopes to educate viewers about the processes involved in printmaking, an ancient and versatile medium for creating art, said Gallery5's executive director, Amanda Robinson. Another goal is to combat the stigma attached to the medium as a result of "editioning," or mass-producing, an image.
The exhibit runs through April 28 at 200 W. Marshall St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. For details, call (804) 644-0005 or visit http://www.gallery5arts.org.-- Jo Lord
