Mt. Pisgah United Methodist gets new pastor, youth leader

Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, 1100 Mt. Pisgah Drive in Midlothian, welcomes a new pastor and a new youth director at services tomorrow.

Steven Frederick Plymale, the new pastor, previously served churches in Parkersburg, W.Va., as well as in Shenandoah, Richmond and Newport News.

He graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., received his master of divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Ill., and earned his doctorate from Northwestern University.

Plymale also taught religious studies and was campus minister at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, and has been a research fellow at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond.

New youth director Will C. Williams comes to Mt. Pisgah from First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville, N.C. He earned a degree in sociology at Longwood University in Farmville and a master's in Christian education from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education.
