Kings Dominion holds job fair

Kings Dominion will hold a job fair Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its human resources office in the Doswell amusement park.

It says it is accepting applications and will interview applicants for more than 2,500 seasonal positions.

It needs employees to work in food and beverage, rides, games, merchandise, admissions, marketing, security and other departments.

The majority of the jobs pay $7.25 an hour, and employees on average work a 48-hour week.

The amusement park says applicants must be at least 15 years old and must apply online at http://www.kingsdominion.com before their interview.

Other job fairs are scheduled for Saturdays, Feb. 28 and March 7.

The park also is looking for performers and stage workers for the 2009 entertainment season. Auditions for those jobs will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, and Sunday, Feb. 8.

Kings Dominion will re-open for the 2009 season on Saturday, April 4. It is located off Exit 98 of Interstate 95, north of Richmond.
