A Chesterfield County man was indicted today on charges that he tried to bribe a witness to lie in court on his behalf in a case involving the hit-and-run death of a 15-year-old girl.

A Richmond grand jury indicted Bryan Christopher Shull, 36, of Lake Hills Road on charges of bribery, attempted procurement of perjury, and obstruction of justice, according to Managing Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney Tracy Thorne-Begland.

Shull faces trial on Sept. 3 on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Tiara Rosa, who was struck as she walked with her mother along Walmsley Boulevard in South Richmond on Jan. 16. She died the next day.

Richmond prosecutors say Shull attempted to bribe a witness in mid-May. His attorney could not be reached today for comment.
