Did you set your clocks back an hour?

Daylight saving time ended at 2 a.m. today. Did you remember to set your clock back one hour?

DST begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November after Congress passed legislation in 2005 to extend the standard-time period by several weeks.

The practice is not mandatory. Arizona, Hawaii and Puerto Rico do not observe the time change, Bloomberg News reported.

Also, today is a good day to check the batteries in your smoke detectors.
