Single-vehicle crash kills Louisa County man, injures 2 others

A 31-year-old Louisa County man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Chesterfield County this morning.

Chesterfield County police said James A. Beasley III, of the 5500 block of Parrish Road in Louisa, was traveling northeast in the 4900 block of Beulah around 2:05 a.m. when he lost control of his 1992 Honda and collided with a tree.

Police say Beasley died at the scene. Two passengers were transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Chesterfield police continue their investigation into the crash.  They did not say whether Beasley or his passengers were wearing seat belts.
