Man charged with allegedly assaulting pregnant girlfriend
Louisa County authorities have charged Mark Lewis Franck, 21, with causing his girlfriend to have a miscarriage by assaulting her June 10 at their home in the Mineral area of the county.
Franck is charged with assault and battery of a household member and murder of a fetus, authorities said.
His 19-year-old girlfriend, who was eight weeks pregnant, had a miscarriage after she was punched in the stomach and face during an argument, authorities said.
Franck is to appear in court Monday.
