Of the two men standing at the store counter, the one in the light coat is homicide victim Harry T. Phillips, and the man beside him wearing black is the unidentified suspect.

Henrico County police released surveillance images yesterday asking the public to help identify a suspect in a 2005 homicide.

Harry T. Phillips Jr., 39, of Harrisonburg was shot and killed and his body was found behind a Citgo convenience store at Darbytown and Miller roads on Oct. 5, 2005.

In a news release, Henrico police Lt. Doug Perry credits students at Brown University for sharpening surveillance images that show Phillips and the assailant inside a 7-Eleven store.

Michael J. Black, professor of computer science at Brown, said yesterday that he and students from a graduate-level computer-vision class sharpened images during the spring semester of 2008.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Investigator A.J. Stromberg at (804) 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000. -- Reed Williams
