Navy identifies pilot found in Texas accident

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The U.S. Navy has identified the pilot found after his plane disappeared off the Texas coast on Wednesday.
The body found Friday has been identified as that of 30-year-old Lt. Bret Travis Miller of East Troy, Wis. Miller’s body was recovered Friday when a floating oil rig’s crew reported something in the water.
The U.S. Coast Guard suspended the search Sunday night for a second Navy pilot, 29-year-old Lt. John Joseph Houston of Houston.
The two were flying the Navy T-34C Turbomentor plane on a routine training flight when it disappeared. The Coast Guard estimated that it searched 131 hours and 20,900 square miles. It said it will continue trying to locate the plane.
