Tapped by President Barack Obama this spring to be the nation’s first chief technology officer, Aneesh Chopra is plugged in to a brave new world.

The 36-year-old Chopra, Virginia’s former secretary of technology, recently sat down with Richmond Times-Dispatch reporter Jim Nolan in Washington to discuss the challenges of his new job and the role technology and innovation will play in government and the everyday lives of Americans.
