CAA Men: Hofstra leads UNC Wilmington at half

Fifth-seeded Hofstra made 6 of 12 shots from 3-point range in the first half and took a 39-29 lead over the No. 12 seed UNC Wilmington Seahawks at intermission of their first-round Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball tournament game today at the Richmond Coliseum.

Guard Cornelius Vines came off the bench to hit 3 of 6 from behind the arc for nine points to pace the Hofstra Pride, who connected on 53.3 percent (16 of 30) overall from the field in the opening half.

Guard Johnny Wolf kept the Seahawks within range by scoring 11 points. UNCW managed only 27.6 percent (8 of 29) from the floor in the half.
