Kenneth Van Riper has been promoted to associate principal at Commonwealth Architects. Since joining the firm in 2001, he has worked as a project architect and project manager with expertise in the design of commercial spaces. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited architect. Steve Scott has been promoted to associate principal at Commonwealth Architects. He joined the firm in 2000 and has served as director of information technology, overseeing the firm's computer infrastructure as well as the management, coordination and support of telephone communications and computer networks.Chris Watkins is director of information and technology at Baskervill. He is a graduate of James Madison University and formerly was with the Jefferson Hotel.
Jennifer Farris has joined Baskervill as an interior designer after serving as an intern in the hospitality division for the past year. She earned her master of arts in interior environments from Virginia Commonwealth University.
William Laughlin has been promoted to the board of directors of Moseley Architects. He joined the firm in 1992 after graduating from Virginia Tech with an architecture degree. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professional.
James Henderson has been promoted to operations manager of Moseley Architects' Harrisonburg office. He earned his undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Virginia in 1992 and his master's from Virginia Tech in 1999. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professional.

Charles Larson has earned his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation. He is a transportation engineer and infrastructure management specialist at Stantec. He is a principal in the Richmond office and has more than 23 years of experience in the transportation field. He earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Connecticut and a master's in project management from George Washington University's School of Business. ENGINEERSAshley Moore has joined the marketing department in the Glen Allen office of Hankins and Anderson Inc. She formerly was with the Timmons Group.
HEALTH SERVICESMike Hathaway has joined Go Orthopedics Physical Therapy as clinic director. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's in science and nutrition and exercise. He completed the doctor of physical therapy program at Virginia Commonwealth University and has been practicing orthopedic physical therapy since 2006.
