The Saks Fifth Avenue at Stony Point Fashion Park has started stocking home furnishings by MacKenzie-Childs. It is only one of 11 of the chain's 53 stores to carry merchandise by the designer. The first store to carry the merchandise was Saks flagship store in New York, which started selling items Nov. 5. MacKenzie-Childs designs and sells furniture, ceramics, tableware, lighting and home accessories. Besides New York and Richmond, Saks stores carrying MacKenzie-Childs merchandise are in Fairfax, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Cleveland, Stamford, Conn., Troy, Mich., and three stores in south Florida.
Andrew Ryan , who works in the Richmond office of public relations firm Hellerman Baretz Communications, has been named one of the nation's top 15 PR professionals under 30. He was chosen by industry publication PR News. Ryan will be honored tomorrow at the National Press Club in Washington. The award is for his work with law firms who work in several fields, including securities regulation, the municipal bond market, tort reform and climate change.
