Christy E. Kiely of Hunton & Williams has been elected secretary of the Young Lawyers Conference Board of Governors.

New officers for the Richmond Bar Association are: president, Gregory F. Holland with Setliff & Holland; president-elect, Thamer E. Temple with McSweeney, Crump, Childress & Temple; vice president, Tyler P. Brown with Hunton & Williams; honorary vice president, Judge Buford Parsons Jr.; and secretary-treasurer, Craig T. Merritt with Christian & Barton. New members of the board of directors are: Vernon E. Inge Jr. with LeClair Ryan; Curtis M. Hairston Jr. with the Gee Law Firm; and Patricia C. McCullagh with McCandlish Holton. W. David Harless with Christian & Barton will serve on the board of directors as a Virginia State Bar Council representative. Section chairs are: bankruptcy, Kevin A. Lake with Vandeventer Black; business law, Brian L. Hager with Hunton & Williams; corporate counsel, Michelle H. Gluck with LandAmerica; environmental law, Lisa M. Ochsenhirt with AquaLaw; real estate, Brian L. Carr with Old Republic National Title Insurance Co.; and young lawyers, Richard F. Hawkins III with Hawkins Law Firm.

New members of the board of trustees for the University of Richmond are: Judge Roger L. Gregory of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and Melanie Liddle Healey with Procter & Gamble.

New members elected to three-year terms on the University of Richmond Alumni Association board of directors are: Gayle Goodson Butler of Des Moines, Iowa, and Wendy Haynes Eastman of Richmond.

Cole Tucker has been elected president of the Professional Insurance Agents Association of VA & DC.

Gerald F. Hemphill has been elected to the board of directors of the PIA Insurance Services Inc. in Richmond. He is president and owner of GFH Insurance Agency.

New officers for the Central Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association are: president, Jason Anderson with Bartlett Tree Expert Co.; vice president, Jason McAuliffe with Cross Creek Nursery and Landscape; treasurer, Harry Johnson with Buckhorn Creek Nursery Inc.; secretary, Jim Hassold with Glen Allen Nursery & Garden Center; two-year director, Joshua Richman with Chapel Valley Landscape Co.; one-year director, Matt Templeton with Illuminations Landscape Lighting Inc.; and past president, Tom Thompson with Natural Art Landscaping.

Officers for the Friends of Chesterfield County Public Library are: president, Andrea Brown; first vice president-programs, Sheila Callear; second vice president-membership, Rosalie Ownes; fourth vice president-corporate gifts and bequests, Barbara Fischer; fifth vice president-public relations, Sunny Reed; corresponding secretary, Marsha Haddock; recording secretary, Tracy O'Miller; treasurer, Tom Cole.
