"The Asian businesses throughout the commonwealth of Virginia [have] encountered a lot of difficulties and hardship during this economic downturn.
"We are talking about from the construction business to IT [information technology] to the retail stores -- . . . we have to tighten our belts to make sure that we can ride through the storm.
"The culture of the Asians has taught us that in the business, we are going to be self-sufficient, we are going to make sure that we are going to have less debt even in the good times -- so because of that, I believe that we are going through this ready to excel and prosper again when the economy coming back to us again."
