CB Richard Ellis reports the sale of the 1,286-unit The Communities at Southwood at 4602 Southwood Parkway in Richmond for $24 million to Southwood Apartments. Wink Ewing, Barry Hofheimer and Scott Boyers represented the seller.

• Thalhimer/Cushman & Wakefield reports the sale of the 88-unit Kent Road Apartment building at 920 N. Hamilton St. in Richmond for $3.8 million to TGM Kent Road Apartments and GEI Kent Road Apartments. L. Birck Turnbull and Eric B. Robison handled the sale.

Commonwealth Commercial Partners Inc. reports the following sales:

5,000 square feet at 5400 W. Broad St. in Richmond for $1,983,000 to Sauer Properties Inc. Mark W. Claud and Russell G. Wyatt represented the buyer.

• 7,200 square feet at 9700, 9702 and 9704 Atlee Commons Drive in Hanover County for $612,000 to Hostican Properties. Sam Worley represented the seller.
