Richmond visitors bureau launches travel Web site
Web site targets travelers to region Visitors bureau hopes it will be destination page for Richmond visitors
Visitors now have a user-friendly interactive Web site to help them plan time spent in Richmond.
The Richmond Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched VisitRichmondVa.com to simplify travel planning for visitors.
The Web site also welcomes use by area businesses such as Richmond-region hotels, restaurants and attractions.
The site features a vacation matcher that allows users to create a virtual family or group of travelers, enter their interests and receive instant matches to activities in the Richmond area that appeal to individuals and groups.
The Web site also has a built-in booking engine, making it a one-stop shop for prospective visitors to plan and book their entire trip to the Richmond area.
Additionally, area businesses will soon have the ability to update their own information on the site.
Posts from the visitors bureau's user-generated site, Richmond InsideOut.com, appear on VisitRichmondVa.com and feature pictures and videos from residents about what they like in the area.

LMAO… why would anyone want to take a family vacation to Richmond, VA??? If I was a kid and my parents took me here, I’d be PO’d. Take me to a beach or a place that’s fun.
