For those itching for Morton's-level food without the high-end prices, the steakhouse just began its daily "Power Hour" from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Patrons can visit the bar for specially priced drinks ($4 beer, $5 wines and $7 specialty "Mortinis") and also purchase a Morton's prime sirloin burger and fries for $15.

California Pizza Kitchen is giving guests a chance to win prizes ranging from 10 percent off a meal to $50,000.

Through May 31, diners will receive a sealed envelope with their check that contains a guaranteed prize (takeout orders are also eligible, and a purchase isn't necessary).

The envelopes can only be opened by CPK management upon the guests' return, which must be done by June 30. Open envelopes will be invalid. There is a limit of one envelope per person and per household per visit during the distribution period.
