If you think you're capable of pounding down more wings than the next guy (or girl), check out "The Great Wing Eating Contest of 2009" at The Triple (3306 W. Broad St.) on Saturday.

Starting at 7 p.m., customers can participate in games, such as the guess-that-beer challenge and piñata bashing, followed by the wing-eating contest.

The winner will receive a "bucket o' wings" trophy and a choice of a week's worth of "golden beverages," a week of wings or $200 cash.

Sign-ups will be held at the event that night. Entry is $10.

Today, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Qdoba at Willow Lawn will donate a portion of sales to the family of former employee Tony Montague.

Montague, a 22-year-old manager at the chain, was killed last week in an auto-related crash.

Monies raised will help offset Montague's funeral costs.

Now open: A second location of Chicken Fiesta, the casual-fast rotisserie chicken/Tex-Mex restaurant. The new Chicken Fiesta opened last week at 7568 W. Broad St. in the Merchants Walk shopping center.

The locally owned restaurant is open seven days a week, from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The original Chicken Fiesta is at 7748 Midlothian Turnpike.

Closed for break: Chez Foushee (203 N. Foushee St.) will take a vacation Monday through Aug. 10, reopening for lunch Aug. 11.

Closed, period: Magnolia's Wine Bar & Bistro in The Village shopping center. The wine and tapas café, connected to Village Fine Wine and Cigar, opened in December.

Community Chest Night is back at Capital Ale House. Every Thursday during August, 25 percent of all dinners purchased between 5 and 10 p.m. at the Glen Allen and Midlothian locations of the restaurant will be donated to this month's beneficiary, Lab Rescue.
