This week's Insomnia Theater at the Movieland is "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," showing at midnight tomorrow and Saturday.

Give me your hand

"Vertigo" will be the Movies and Mimosas feature at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at Movieland.

Birds at the Byrd

Tomorrow, at 7 and 9:30 p.m., the Byrd will show Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" as a fundraiser for the theater. Admission is $10 (includes free popcorn). Proceeds go to the preservation of the theater.

Va. Independent Film Fest

From noon to 10 p.m. Sunday, the Byrd will show contenders from the 2009 Virginia Independent Film Festival and announce the winner from each category.

Documentaries will be screened from noon to 4 p.m., short films from 4 to 6 p.m. and features from 6 to 10 p.m.

Admission is $5 for one of the three sessions or $10 for an all-day pass.
