Music notes: U2 concert to stream live Sunday
On Sunday, U2 will stream its concert from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., live on YouTube at 11:30 p.m. The show will be archived for later viewing. . . . The video for Adam Lambert's new single, "Time for Miracles," from the soundtrack to "2012," has made an early appearance at http://www.music.myspace.com. Lambert's debut album, "For Your Entertainment," is due Nov. 23. . . . Taylor Swift has announced a round of tour dates for 2010, including a March 20 stop at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville. No ticket information is available. The same goes for Chris Brown's Nov. 22 Landmark Theater gig. His record label has announced the tour and a date at the venue is on hold, but no contract has been signed yet. . . . The International Songwriting Competition has extended its entry deadline until Dec. 2. The contest is open to all levels of songwriters, amateur and professional. Shenandoah Valley worship leader Michael Joseph has released "I Need the Cross," a Christian rock album. Rod Stewart's "Soulbook," a collection of classic'60s-'70s soul tunes, will be released Monday, a day earlier than planned. . . . Jack Johnson releases his "En Concert" DVD and live album Tuesday. . . . The first single from Them Crooked Vultures, the supergroup of Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones, is called "New Fang" and hits radio Monday. The band's debut album arrives Nov. 17. . . .
