On sale: Bruce Hornsby returns to Richmond
Bruce Hornsby will release a new album, "Levitate," on Sept. 15, and a few weeks later he'll return to Richmond to debut some of those tunes.
The Williamsburg native will perform at The National at 8 p.m. Oct. 3. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow for $35 (standing general admission and balcony), $50 (orchestra sections) and $100 for an orchestra seat that includes a meet-and-greet and autograph signing with Hornsby.
Another Richmond fave with a slightly different musical style, GWAR, also will play The Nat this fall. An Oct. 23 date with The Red Chord has been inked for the venue, with tickets going on sale for $18 ($21 day of show) at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
Also, the hard-rocking Californians known as AFI will come to The National at 8 p.m. Oct. 19. Tickets are $26 ($28 day of show) and on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Tickets to all National shows can be purchased at the venue box office (which also will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), all Ticketmaster locations and http://www.nattickets.com, or by calling (800) 745-3000.
