Tickets on sale: Daughtry heads home

Chris Daughtry, one of the most successful losers in "American Idol" history, embarks on an arena tour this fall with his self-named band.

The show, which also features Theory of a Deadman and Cavo, hits John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville on Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Daughtry, the guy, has some ties to the area: He's a graduate of Fluvanna County High School in Palmyra, near C'ville.

Tickets for the show are $31.50-$41.50 and go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

The National keeps filling in the calendar for its fall lineup. New this week are:

  • Dashboard Confessional with New Found Glory, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 ($30 day of show) and go on sale today at 10 a.m.
  • Radio station 102.1 The X will hold its "Not So Silent Night" holiday show Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. with Rise Against and After Midnight Project. Tickets are $35 and go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m.
  • LMFAO, the electro-hop duo currently heard on radio with their customized hit, "I'm in Richmond Trick," perform Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $16 ($19 day of show) and go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.
  • Robert Earl Keen, with Sons of Bill, arrives Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. for a reserved-seat show. Tickets are $35 (front orchestra), $30 (rear orchestra), $25 (balcony) and $20 (general-admission standing). They go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.
  • Grateful Dead tribute band Dark Star Orchestra, with Donna Jean Godchaux and The Tricksters, performs Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 ($28 day of show) and go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m.
