Tickets on sale: Maxwell coming to Richmond Coliseum; Hornsby, GWAR heading to The National

Bruce Hornsby's appearance with his band, the Noise Makers, originally slated to sell tickets last weekend, will now go on sale tomorrow for his Oct. 3 date at 8 p.m. at The National.

Tickets are $35 for reserved-seat balcony and general-admission standing and $50 for reserved-seat orchestra.

A previously announced $100 ticket, including a meet and greet, is no longer an option.

Also on sale tomorrow for The National:

  • The Cult, performing its entire "Love" album, as well as the greatest hits, arrives Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 ($30 day of show).
  • Gypsy-punk band Gogol Bordello returns Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. with Apostle of Hustle. Tickets are $20 ($23 day of show).
  • Rockers Chevelle will perform Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $23 ($25 day of show).
  • On sale now at The National:
  • GWAR with The Red Chord, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. Two local bands -- to be determined at a Sept. 18 Battle of the Bands contest at The Nat -- will also open. Tickets are $18 ($21 day of show).
  • Tickets to all shows can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, http://www.nattickets.com, The National box office (Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.) or by calling (800) 745-3000.

    On sale now are tickets to Maxwell's BLACKsummers'night Tour, which pulls into the Richmond Coliseum on Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

    Common and Chrisette Michele will join the soul singer, who is enjoying a career resurgence with his recently released "BLACKsummers'night."
