Former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson wants to save the seals from the annual hunt on Canada's East Coast. The Canadian-born actress and animal-rights activist is among several celebrities who are taking part in an ad campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Anderson visited the Ontario provincial legislature yesterday to introduce the ads, which also will feature singer Sarah McLachlan and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
The indigenous Inuit community says the seal hunt provides crucial jobs and food. The hunt is the largest in the world, killing an average of 300,000 harp seals annually.

- Rock band Bon Jovi has announced plans for a new world tour. The two-year tour will begin Feb. 19 in Seattle and include a May 26 show at New Jersey's new $1.6 billion Meadowlands football stadium. The tour will feature 135 shows in 30 countries.
