Emeril Lagasse shows taped at Fort Lee air this week
Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse cooked up a feast in April when he taped a show at the Army Center of Excellence, Subsistence at Fort Lee.
After a delay from an original broadcast date, the show taped at Fort Lee is scheduled to air tomorrow on his show "Emeril Green."
At Fort Lee, Lagasse prepared enough food to feed a small army. He was dressed in battle camouflage and combat boots like his kitchen helpers, which included men and women in the culinary programs at Fort Lee.
The audience of soldiers cheered on cue, and later got to chow down on jambalaya, chicken pot pie, corn and potato chowder, green beans, ham and mashed potato croquettes, fruit salad and bread pudding.
The Fort Lee segments are part of a series Lagasse is taping outside the studio. The military-themed shows, "Operation Emeril" and "Emeril Salutes the Military," air back to back at 8 and 8:30 p.m. tomorrow.
The shows repeat Friday at 8 and 8:30 p.m. and 11 and 11:30 p.m. and Saturday at noon and 12:30 p.m. and 3 and 3:30 p.m.
According to the Planet Green channel finder and company Web sites, the network is carried locally on Comcast, Channel 113; Verizon FiOS, Channel 168 and 668HD; and DirecTV, Channel 286. If your provider is not listed, you can look it up at: http://planetgreen.channelfinder.net/.
