THE GRAPES OF WRATH -- Auditions will be held tomorrow from 6 to 10 p.m. at Barksdale Theatre's Willow Lawn location, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive. Needed are 14 to 16 men and women ages 18 and older, and one boy and one girl ages 10 to 12. Particularly needed are actors who play instruments. Those auditioning need to prepare two contrasting monologues suitable to the period or a narrative story where the actor represents all characters in the story and a life-changing event occurs. Be prepared to sing 16 bars of a folk song without accompaniment for no more than five minutes. All performers will be paid. No appointment is necessary. Arrive by 6 p.m. to sign up.

BLACK NATIVITY -- Director Derome Scott Smith seeks eight African-American men and women, 18 and older, and 18 to 20 male and female vocalists of all ethnicities for the on-stage choir. Auditions will be held Oct. 12-14, from 6 to 10 p.m., at Theatre IV's Empire Theatre, 114 W. Broad St. Actors auditioning should prepare a monologue of no more than two minutes.
