For Art's Sake gallery recently opened a show of new works by gallery owner Anne Chaddock and other artists.

Chaddock works in a variety of media, including watercolor, pastel, acrylic, oil and graphite, said studio manager Diana Robinson. Her subjects are equally wide-ranging.

"She's very diverse in the way she paints," Robinson said. "She chooses very unusual subject matter -- not your normal landscapes and still lifes." As examples, she cited a portrait of an Indian man and a painting of the Carnival in Venice.

Chaddock has been featured in Artist, American Artist and Virginia Living magazines. She is working on her first book.

The exhibition is ongoing, with no end date, at 8540 Patterson Ave. in the Beverly Hills Shopping Center. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
