There are an estimated6 million Muslims in America. The Muslim community in America is made up of people from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds and national origins.
In Virginia, there are an estimated 400,000 Muslims, and 17 mosques.
The worldwide population of Muslims is 1.2 billion.
Islam is one of the fastest-growing religions in this country and around the world.
Demographers say that by 2025, one in four people worldwide will be a Muslim.
There are close to 2,000 mosques, Islamic schools and Islamic centers in America.
