Composition: 100 percent Chardonnay
Description: In a state in which Chardonnay is a quality wine, this one stands out. Floral aromas are followed by toasty almond with just a touch of creaminess. Perfect for summer deck sipping and for year-round meals (pastas, hearty chicken dishes). 13.5 percent alcohol.

Fast fact: Chardonnay is the most produced grape in the state with 1,288 tons produced in 2008. (Cabernet Franc is second at 924 tons.) Chardonnay is the dominant white grape in France's Burgundy region, and some of the best come from Chablis.
