Virginia GoGreen Garden Festival

A celebration of green gardening and landscaping will combine with fun and games tomorrow at the Virginia GoGreen Garden Festival.

The festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Science Museum of Virginia's Garner Pavilion, 2500 West Broad St. Admission and parking are free.

In addition to learning about earth-friendly practices, families can enjoy music, Virginia foods, plant shopping and other garden-related activities.

Included will be experts sharing garden and landscape strategies, vendor displays, treeand lawn-care demonstrations, a live broadcast of Andre Viette's "In the Garden" show, some of "Virginia's Finest" foods, music, crafts, a sale of rare and unusual plants and garden décor and children's activities.

The event is sponsored by the Virginia Green Industry Council and Virginia's Green Industry professionals. The council promotes the Virginia horticulture industry and encourages environmental stewardship.
