Daylily Displays: Several area display gardens are open to view during the daylily season:

For the Birds: 15th annual Purple Martin Field Day includes talks and demonstrations on establishing, restoring or expanding a purple martin colony, 9:30 a.m.-noon tomorrow at the Louisa County farm of Merle and Lance Wood. Summertime Plantation Progressive Tour: Guided tour of Piney Grove Plantation's collection of antiques and historic buildings, including Piney Grove, Ashland and Ladysmith plantations, and exterior visits to Duck Church and Dower Quarter, 3-5 p.m. tomorrow at the complex, Charles City County. $20; reservation required.
