Guests who bring a bag of nonperishable food to donate to the Central Virginia Foodbank will receive two free admissions to this weekend's MAC Events Richmond Home Show.

The show, which runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, is at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Nationally recognized bath and kitchen remodeler Steven Katkowsky will demonstrate how to create the illusion of size in a small kitchen or bath. He will conduct seminars tomorrow at 12:30, 2:30 and 5 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m.

"I'm going to show people how to take that 5-by-8-foot bathroom that nobody can do anything with and create a dream baby-boomer bathroom, make it look twice as big and legitimately increase storage by three to five times," Katkowsky said.

The show will feature manufacturers and sellers of home furnishings, window treatments, kitchen cabinetry, appliances, security systems, air conditioning/heating systems, cookware, pools and spas, and landscaping.

Exhibitors include Fish World, a Midlothian saltwater aquarium specialist that sells exotic and rare fish, and Lot Scapes, a land-improvement company that converts undesirable trees, brush and stumps into mulch.

Green exhibitors include Breathe Easy Décor, a mother/daughter interior-design company that will demonstrate products people can use to make safer choices in materials and décor for a baby nursery or child's room.

Without a bag of food to donate, admission to the show is $5 for adults and $4 for seniors and children ages 12 to 17. Children under 12 are admitted free.

The Central Virginia Foodbank, a FeedMore organization, fights hunger throughout the region by providing food and grocery products to an extensive network of partner agencies that serve needy populations.

The foodbank also prepares and delivers hot meals to at-risk children in summer and after-school programs, and it fills backpacks with weekend meal items for children in need. For more information, call (804) 521-2500 or visit http://www.cvfb.org.
