Health expo, athletic contests at Virginia Senior Games announced
The Virginia Recreation and Park Society invites seniors age 50 and older to experience The Virginia Senior Games, May 7-10, in the Richmond area.
On May 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Health Expo will be held at Sports Backers Stadium, 100 Avenue of Champions in Richmond. Health professionals will provide information regarding healthy living. This event is free and open to the public and all Senior Games athletes.
A variety of sport activities will be take place May 9:
Archery (10 a.m. at Pole Green Park)
Basketball 3 on 3 (8:30 a.m. at Oak Knoll Middle School)
Basketball Free Throws (noon at Oak Knoll Middle School)
Table Tennis (9 a.m. at Bensley Community Center)
Tennis Mixed (8 a.m. at Belmont Recreation Center)
Texas Hold-em (1 p.m. at Belmont Recreation Center)
Volleyball (8 a.m. at Brookland Middle School)
Track & Field (8 a.m. at Sports Backers Stadium)
Swimming (8 a.m. at St. Catherine's)
Activities are free and open to spectators.
