Former President Bill Clinton makes a stop this morning in Richmond to campaign with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe.

They will appear at the 17th Street Farmers' Market at 9:30 a.m. The event is free.

McAuliffe and Clinton will also make an appearance in Roanoke later today.

In Clinton's 1992 and 1996 presidential victories, McAuliffe was his adviser and chief fundraiser. He filled the same role last year for Hillary Clinton.

McAuliffe is running against former delegate Brian Moran of Alexandria and Sen. R. Creigh Deeds of Bath County for the Democratic nomination.

Seventeenth Street between Main and Broad streets will be closed until about 1 p.m. because of security for the former presdient's appearance.
