Richmond police investigate death of man

Richmond police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found yesterday afternoon in a parked car near 32nd and Marshall streets.

Police received a call about 2:30 p.m. about a man "down" in an alley between 32nd and 33rd streets, said police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh. When officers arrived, they found the man unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is being handled as a death investigation, Waugh said, adding it was too early to tell whether foul play was involved.
