Henrico NAACP branch installs new officers

The Henrico County NAACP installed its newly elected officers Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, during its meeting and holiday social. The oath of office was administered by Del. Joe Morrissey.

The 2009-2010 branch officers are:

President: Tyee N. Davenport

First vice president: Antione Green

Second vice president: Drusilla Bridgeforth

Third vice president: Antionette Blake

Secretary: Cheryl Palmer

Treasurer: Dorothy Tatem

At-large members to the Executive Committee are:

The Rev. Roy Carter

Helen Clayton-Brown

Virginia Darden

Shirley Harmon

Lonnie Johnson

Delores Johnson

The Rev. Dr. J. Rayfield Vines Jr.

Lucy Cordell Wells

Evonnie Wilkins

Founded in 1909, the NAACP celebrates its 100th-year anniversary in 2009. The Henrico NAACP plans to celebrate the occasion all year with forums, guest speakers and community activities.

The branch meets at 7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Hungary Road Baptist Church, 1733 Hungary Road in Henrico County.
