Goodnight Jesus Pajama Drive

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

There are thousands of children in the Richmond and surrounding areas who go to bed each night without a story read to them or even a pair of pajamas to wear.

So on Saturday, October 25, 2008, Southampton Baptist Church will hold a drive to collect new pajamas, new books, new stuffed animals, and new underwear for children ranging in ages of birth to 18 years old.

All items will be distributed locally to the YWCA, The Daily Planet, and several Richmond Baptist Centers. Please take a moment to help a child in need, a child that needs to know that someone, somewhere cares for them.

We will be collecting these items between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the church parking lot. If you are unable to attend the drive, you may leave any donations in the church office between 9:00 a.m. to noon, Monday - Friday. We will also have our "Second Safety Fair" on this special day during the drive as well. For more information, contact Karen Agee 272-5942, 7521 Comanche Drive, Richmond, VA 23225. Thank you for your time and caring nature.
