Community yard sale Oct. 4 to help teens

A community yard sale will be held at the Westhampton Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, from 8 to 11 a.m.

Proceeds from table rentals will help pay for teens to attend a Red Cross-certified baby-sitting class at the center.

The Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities' Westhampton Community Center is at 5800 Patterson Ave. It serves Westhampton and Westwood neighborhoods.

The sale will be set up on the corner of Patterson and Maple avenues. Table rentals are $20 for individuals, groups and vendors.
