Prince George County recently honored several employees with Service Awards for their years of exceptional work for the county.

Mike Roberts, Extension agent, agriculture and natural resources, five years of service

Eddy Stewart, building maintenance mechanic, five years of service
Anthony Townsend, police officer, five years of service
David Sutton, building maintenance/convenience station superintendent, five years of service
In addition, Robert "Bobby" Carmichael received the "You are the One" employee of the year award for his dedication to law enforcement.
Also, Denise Johnson, Brenda Jones, Julie Walton, Rod Compton, Matt Blaes and Pamela Thompson earned the "Together We Can" team of the year award for their work to modify the county code to ensure faster response time for police, fire and rescue personnel and to assist the postal service by maintaining a uniform addressing system for residential mail.
The awards were presented Dec. 10, 2008, during the county's annual Service Awards Banquet.
