Deeds reports raising $3.4 million

Democratic gubernatorial candidate R. Creigh Deeds raised $3.4 million between May 28 and June 30, according to figures released today by the Deeds campaign.

The campaign listed $2.7 million cash on hand. Deeds officials were encouraged by the figure, considering the candidate started out with virtually nothing in the bank on June 10, having spent all available funds in the run-up to the June 9 Democratic primary.

Bob McDonnell, who was unopposed for the GOP nomination, plans to release his fundraising figures Tuesday.

Better from the Unions and the National Party than from Bob McDonell’s Sugar Daddy Pat Robertson!

That’s $500,000 from the unions and $1 million from the national party, so keep it in perspective folks.
