Toddler apparently drowns in Chesterfield
Chesterfield County police today were investigating an apparent accidental drowning of a 2-year-old boy.
Police and rescuers were summoned about 12:35 p.m. today to a home in the 4400 block of Mason Valley Court off Hopkins Road to investigate an unresponsive child, police said.
The boy was found in an above-ground swimming pool at his home and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
