Equine encephalitis surfaces in Suffolk

Suffolk is spraying and treating standing water after tests found mosquitoes carrying Eastern equine encephalitis in parts of the city.
The city said yesterday that the virus also has been found in some chickens. No cases involving horses or humans have been reported.
