Henrico bicyclist killed in crash

A bicyclist was killed Saturday afternoon after being struck by a car on West Broad Street in Henrico County.

The accident happened just before 2 p.m. at the intersection of West Broad and Horsepen Road.

The male victim was taken to MCV Hospital in Richmond and died shortly after his arrival there, Lt. Gary Watson said.

His identity has not been released because next of kin have not been notified.

The driver of the car, a Nissan, was treated for minor injuries.

No charges have been filed and the case is still under investigation, Watson said.
