Here's a snapshot of emergency calls during the week of Oct. 12-19, as reported by Metro Richmond fire departments.

RICHMOND

Fire Calls: 207 Emergency Medical Calls: 378 EMS: Cardiac arrest (12), chest pain (58), breathing problems (127), shooting (4), stabbing (4), unconsciousness (54).

Significant Events:

  • Fire: 3300 block of Broad Rock Boulevard, house. Cooking related; accidental. Fire: 400 block of Hancock Street, house; accidental.

    HENRICO

    Fire Calls: 182 Emergency Medical Calls: 459

    Significant Events: Fire: 7500 block of Wilton Road, house. Significant fire/heat damage to kitchen area with moderate smoke throughout the house. No injuries; accidental.

    FIRE SAFETY

Fire Safety Day will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Dorey Park, 2999 Darbytown Road in Henrico. For details, call (804) 795-2334.
