Here's a snapshot of emergency calls during the week of Aug. 17-24, as reported by Metro Richmond fire departments.

RICHMOND

Fire Calls: 188 Emergency Medical Calls: 401 EMS: Cardiac arrest (8), chest pain (55), breathing problems (123), shooting (6), stabbing (4), unconsciousness (65).

Significant Events: Fire: 3100 block of Cliff Avenue, house; under investigation.

HENRICO

Fire Calls: 164 Emergency Medical Calls: 436

Significant Events: Fire: 9000 block of Wood Sorrel Drive, single-family dwelling. Fire contained to attic area with smoke and water damage. Caused by lightning; no injuries. Mutual aid: Search/Rescue Dive Team assisted Goochland County on dive rescue of person that had fallen into a pond. Victim located and turned over to Goochland Sheriff's Office.
