Thousands crowd Richmond Italian Street Festival
Thousands gathered by midday today at the Richmond Raceway Complex for this year's Richmond Italian Street Festival.
The crowds were gobbling up bowls of pasta and glasses of wine while listening to live music.
The festival runs today until 8 p.m. and continues tomorrow from 11 a.m-6 p.m.

Can we talk to the reporter who actually saw people gobbling up bowls of pasta and bottles of wine. It is obviously someone’s misguided stereotypical opinion that has no semblance to journalism.
Try covering the event.
“gobbling pasta and wine”...I can’t wait for the news story on the Irish Festival when people were “ drunkenly brawling and passing out in the streets “. All kidding aside, it’s too bad they moved it, it had more feeling in church hill.
I was there at noon or so and there were about 50 other folks, must have gotten better after I left
That’s some Slick journalism, isn’t it? Has anybody notified the Pulitzer Committee?
And when did they start holding “Street Festivals” in the middle of race complexes rather than in the middle of “streets?“
“Gobbling up bowls of pasta and glasses of wine…“ What the heck?
