East End shooting motive sought

Richmond police this morning were continuing their investigation into a shooting in the East End last night that injured one man.

Police said they were trying to establish a motive for the shooting, which was reported about 9 p.m. in the 1300 block of Darbytown Road near the Henrico County line.

The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center with a leg wound that police said did not appear to be life-threatening.

Authorities said the victim was not cooperating with police, and that no arrest had been made.
